Founded in 1983 March by Yogi S.A.A. Ramaiah, the Babaji Ramalingeswara Kovil is known locally as the Temple of Art and Yoga. Hindus will be reminded of the sacred Rameshwara Temple on the southern tip of Tamil Nadu, India, where Sri Ram worshipped the Sivalinga. In the central peetam of the Yuma kovil, Sri Ram's worship of the sivalinga is being witnessed by Sita Amman, Lakkuman, Hanuman, and Maasiddhar Kriya Babaji Nagaraj. Around the inner perimeter of the temple, the traditional eighteen masters of Siva Yoga Siddhantha (including Ramayana Valmiki) meditate on Sri Ram's poosai. The entrance to the temple is graced with Ganapathi and a modern saint of the Siddhantha tradition. In the courtyard there is a sacred Nandi, a Bali Peetam, and the Mansasoravar Thirtham, a tank named after the sacred lake near Mount Kailas. All the twenty-nine idols and their accompanying yantras are carved of stone by Indian stapathis. The seven-tiered vimana and the great hand carved doors depict the rise of consciousness through the seven chakras, using both Saivite and Vaisnavite symbolism. The Saivite Tiruneeru-pattai and the Vaisnavite Namam are gloriously displayed on the temple walls, promoting the great goal of religious harmony and "Unity through Diversity". Adjoining are the Yuma Palaniadavar Samadhi Shrine, a Thulasi shrine and an herb garden, and devotees of Pasupathi and Dakshinamurthi will be happy to find dogs, goats, fish, cats, and fowl living by the shrine without fear. Yearly festivals include Deepavali, Maasivaratri Ramnavami, and an Anthar Kriya Yogum with initiation into bija mantras at the compound's Ram Taraka Mantra Yagna Peetam.
